SINCE THEN
Wanstead Park in East London was designed and built in the 17th Century by Joshua Childs who made his fortune with two slave owning companies; The East India Company and The Royal African Company. These photos use the poetry of Édouard Glissant, the French writer, poet who came from the Caribbean Island of Martinique. (Jacques Coursil, the great jazz improviser and writer features Glissant's poetry on Coursil's album, Clameurs).
